Food, Glorious Food!

The children will be provided with healthy meals and snacks throughout the day depending upon the sessions they are with us (see session information), which will be prepared by our on-site chef.

Healthy Eating Menus

We will have an Autumn/Winter Menu and a Spring/Summer Menu and will alternate over a 4 week timetable. Please see our sample menu for examples of the nutritious dishes we will be serving.

Weaning Menu

The aim of weaning is to gradually introduce your baby to new tastes and textures so that, by the age of one, they are enjoying a varied and healthy diet. We are here to support and help you with this process when you and your baby have decided you are ready,

The first stage of weaning is about introducing the feel of a spoon in a baby’s mouth and trying out new tastes and textures. The following are first stage weaning foods as they have smooth textures and natural sweet flavours:

Vegetables – carrots, potatoes, swede, parsnips, pumpkin, butternut squash, sweet potato

Fruit – apple, pear, banana, mango, avocado, peach

The next stage of weaning, is gradually moving to thicker purees and soft lumps, then progressing onto mashed and chopped foods. For this stage, we adapt our menus to give babies a range of new flavours, textures and finger food.
